It’s getting harder to talk shit on LA bands. We’ve introduced a bunch of great ones lately, and there are at least 3 or 4 more about ready to drop some new material we know you’re going to be into. For now, here’s this band Spirit In The Room, who opened for ††† back in April. They’ve been on our radar ever since, if for no other reason than for their peerless song naming machine, cranking out hits like Satanic Mechanic (Hispanic), and I Wish I Was Black. Majordomo Dennis Sanders has also joined Deftones on stage to perform Cherry Waves.
This video here is for the best track we’ve heard so far, This Fever Is Love. It’s from their first EP, The Holy Phobia, Pt. 1. More videos from that EP are here. Also of potential interest is this experimental EP featuring Chuck Doom of †††, entitled Demon.
