Via Stereogum comes this awesome cover of Depeche Mode’s I Feel You by With Lions, featuring Le Butcherettes’ Teri Gender Bender and Omar Rodríguez-López of At The Drive-In / The Mars Volta, with not much explanation or any of the standard reasons for the existence of such a thing. No tribute album as far as we can see or anything like that. Just some talented musicians getting together and doing something cool. Stereogum nailed the comparison to Ennio Morricone; it’s a jangly, brooding rendition, completely unlike the original, though keeping its sexy, smoldering essence. This is one for your next mixtape, if you know what’s good.
