The Game ruffled feathers yesterday (Dec. 20) with some controversial comments about the recent shooting deaths of two New York City police officers. Taking to social media, the Compton rapper posted a picture of the headline about the officers being murdered along with the caption, “I guess y’all ‘can’t breathe’ either. #RIPEricGarner #AllLivesMatter @ Brighton & Hove, UK. #RIPEricGarner #AllLivesMatter #ShitHasToChange #Now.”
.
Several of the MC’s followers took offense to the tweet prompting Game to explain his thought process behind the post. According to Chuck his comment was a “direct response” to a picture that is floating around the Internet that shows three smiling white men (presumably NYC police officers) wearing shirts that read, “I Can Breathe” which is clearly a mockery of the “I Can’t Breathe” movement for Eric Garner.
Check out the lengthy explanation, below.
Does The Game have a point? Or is he dead wrong?
