I was under the impression that Odonis Odonis were some glum band of wily noise cretins and from what I’ve heard of the first part of their new record Hard Boiled Soft Boiled they most certainly are…sometimes. Like most men, though, of this gilded age of schizophrenic overrides and Ambien sexcapades, Odonis Odonis has a kinder, gentler, love kitten and ether friendly side (Side B, in fact) as is reflected in the static moon man falsetto and fuzz box retrofitted waves of their new jam (and clip) “Highnote.” It’s a fine trip, kids so tune in, shoot up and take off.
