GUNS N' ROSES Is 'Planning On Doing Quite A Bit Of Touring' In 2015, Says DJ ASHBA

In a brand new interview with Legendary Rock Interviews, guitarist DJ Ashba was asked if GUNS N' ROSES has any recording or touring plans in 2015. "We are planning on doing quite a bit of touring this coming year," he said. "The focus is getting in a studio and putting together what we all feel is the best GUNS N' ROSES record. Lack of material is not an issue. We have tons of stuff. Axl [Rose, GN'R lead singer] has two full albums that he has recorded. He has played me a bunch of songs off of that that are incredible! I can't wait to get in and kind of dive into those as well. I've written tons of songs and demoed up a bunch of stuff. I think it is just a matter of getting in and sifting through the piles of material." Rose hinted in a rare interview with Revolver magazine that a follow-up to the 2008 album "Chinese Democracy" could be in the works. Rose explained, "We recorded a lot of things before 'Chinese' was out. We've worked more on some of those things and we've written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of 'Chinese'. That's already recorded. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from 'Chinese'. That's been done for a while, too." GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal told Rolling Stone last year that there is music ready to go for GUNS N' ROSES' follow-up to 2008's "Chinese Democracy". He explained, "There's a lot of stuff, it's just a question of all of us organizing. We're still doing shows, and I think once we clear our schedule and focus more on new music, it'll happen. We just have little things on the back burner, just waiting for the right time for us to organize and make something new out of it. Hopefully we can make more music that's what it's about."
