Watch Run the Jewels Team Up with Stephen Colbert for "Jingle Jangle (Santa Party)"
Published: December 16, 2017
Yesterday (December 15), Run the Jewels' mysterious countdown clock ran out to reveal a video for their Run the Jewels 3 track "Call Ticketron." It turns out that's not the only surprise the hellraising rap duo of El-P and Killer Mike had in store, since they also performed a Christmas rap song as part of a skit on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The track is called "Jingle Jangle (Santa Party)," and it's basically a reprise of the gag from last year's "The Halloween Wiggle" — that is, the holiday tune begins with Colbert singing a family-friendly ditty before RTJ take over and spoil the host's seasonal cheer with sordid rhymes.
This time around, RTJ's fire-breathing rhymes take a political bent, as they rap about racial inequality and Donald Trump. There's bleeped-out swears aplenty and things end up getting violent with a burning Christmas tree and Santa getting locked in the truck of a car. Killer Mike raps, "Christmas so white like the Nazi alt-right."
In the end, Colbert throws down some rapping of his own. Watch the video down below.
