Arena rock masters Mötley Crüe are effectively done, having already unfollowed one another on Twitter. Still, before they disappear for good (and, inevitably, reunite as holograms), the group have one last project on the horizon — the long-awaited film adaptation of their popular band biography The Dirt.

The last we heard about the project, the group had teamed up with Jackass director Jeff Tremaine to bring it to life. That was four long years ago, however, and few details had surfaced until today.

Deadline reports that the band is now in talks with Netflix to produce their band biopic. Neil Strauss's book is being adapted by Rich Wilkes and Californication creator Tom Kapinos.

Best of all, Jeff Tremaine is still attached to direct. As such, it's very possible that Johnny Knoxville will still appear as Nikki Sixx.

Stay tuned for more news on Netflix's potential adaptation of The Dirt.
