Justin Timberlake Could Face Jail Time Due to Voting Booth Selfie

As Justin Timberlake goes prancing around as a troll, the singer may have just got himself in some serious hot water. Believe it or not, he's even facing jail time, and it's all thanks to taking a selfie.

As TMZ reports, JT could go to jail for 30 days, all due to him taking a selfie in a voting booth on Monday (October 24). The photo (above) emerged on his Instagram feed yesterday, and it was taken in Tennessee voting booth. The problem is, though, that in Tennessee it's against the law for voters to take photos or record conversations while in the booth.

Offenders can be given a $50 fine and even 30 days in jail. And while Timberlake has not been charged for the offending act, a rep from the Shelby County District Attorney's Office tells TMZ that Timberlake's case is "under review."

The law is relatively new and was just passed last year. So far no one has been prosecuted under it, so we're kind of doubting the courts will decide to make a big-time celeb like JT its first official offender. An election official also said the star should be commended for encouraging others to vote and not prosecuted.
