The Biggest Hip-Hop Festival In The World Is Coming To Australia

Published: November 11, 2018

Miami-born hip-hop festival Rolling Loud will be making its way Down Under for the first time ever, announcing today its inaugural Australian edition for 2019.

Considered the biggest hip-hop music fest in the world, Rolling Loud was started in 2015 by promoters Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif and has seen the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Future, Lil Wayne, A$AP Rocky, Cardi B, Migos and more grace lineups.

Gunning hard for the Australia Day long weekend, long-time former home of the dearly departed Big Day Out festival, Rolling Loud will takeover Sydney Olympic Park Sunday January 27th 2019, with full lineup details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Organisers Zingler and Cherif have amped up the first Aussie edition in a press release, saying “After back to back sell-outs in Miami and Rolling Loud-branded festivals and experiences across the US, we’re thrilled to make our Australian debut. Rap music is the most popular and fastest growing genre of music and the world deserves to experience curated line-ups of its biggest stars and hottest new talent”.
