If you spent any time on social media yesterday, you might have noticed a lot of people talking about a new Australian artist called G Flip — and for good reason.
Yesterday, G Flip — the moniker of young Melbourne singer and multi-instrumentalist Georgia Flipo — uploaded her first track to triple j Unearthed, an insanely hooky pop song called ‘About You’.
Within hours the track had been spotlighted by Unearthed, picked up by music blogs, and beamed far and wide across the net.

By the end of the day, ‘About You’ had even landed on triple j’s Good Nights. Not bad for a debut single that had only been out for 12 hours.
It’s not only the first single from Flipo, it’s actually the first time she’s put her voice to music — she previously worked as a touring drummer in the US before coming home to kickstart her artist project.
There’s plenty more music on the way too: Flipo spent most of 2017 holed up in her bedroom writing and recording, so ‘About You’ is just the beginning.
So it’s probably good you get your ears around it now — because you’re gonna be hearing it everywhere.
