King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Just Delivered The Best AC/DC Cover On The Planet

Published: November 21, 2017

Of all the AC/DC covers that have flown around the globe this week, we think Malcolm Young would be most proud of this one.

While on stage at their festival Gizzfest on the weekend, Melbourne psych rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard pulled out an ultra sweaty cover of AC/DC’s 1977 hit ‘Let There Be Rock’.

Almost needless to say, it was bloody good.

They’re not the only ones to have tackled the song over the last few days: the Foo Fighters delivered their own cover while headlining Mexico’s Corona Capitol Festival over the weekend.

Malcolm Young, the founder and rhythm guitarist of the legendary Aussie rock band, died peacefully on Saturday aged 64. Tributes have been pouring in since the news was announced by the band on Saturday, with artists such as Jimmy Barnes, KISS guitarist Paul Stanley, Eddie Van Halen, and Ozzy Osbourne all paying their respects.
