Slightly confusing NGD - Yamaha MG10XU output issues

Published: March 27, 2019
Recently purchased a Yamaha MG10XU mixing console to use for my podcast and decided to use it as my audio interface as well so I can hook up all my recording devices to one unit and control the levels independently. However, I've been trying to get audio to come out of my KRK Rockit 6s and headphones and get either quiet audio or really loud and distorted audio. Tried switching from XLR to TRS cables and tested all outputs, To Mon/To St switch and the only way I've been able to get decent audio is to engage the FX which gets better sounding audio but with FX. I'm pretty much stumped guys anybody got some leads on where my issue lies? I thought it might be a driver conflict since I hooked up the mixer to USB before installing Yamaha's driver package and Windows had installed some drivers before that. I can uninstall the Yamaha drivers but I'm not sure where to look for the one Windows installed. Any help is appreciated!

*edit* I will note that audio coming from the inputs on the mixer work fine, I can run my POD HD500 into an input and get audio through my monitors just fine without any real issues.
