NGD - Time for something different (with added carbon fibre)

Published: March 26, 2019
I had intended to be on the hunt for a USA Jackson, but I may have gone a little bit astray with this one. Browsing eBay, spotted it, thought I'd always fancied trying one and it was cheap. But I couldn't *quite* stretch to what he was asking, so made a cheeky offer as it had been modified. He accepted, and I'm now the proud owner of an Emerald Green 1997 Parker Fly Deluxe for 1000, the next cheapest one on eBay is 1850!

The mods were done by the owner previous to the guy I bought it from, and mainly for playing comfort. There was a midi pickup fitted, though now removed and the screw holes sort of filled. For some reason the master volume has been removed & pushed inside the control cavity (there's seperate volumes for the magnetics and piezo's as well), but the shaft has been cut off the pot so I'll need to replace that at some point. The big mod is the rear of the top horn, that's been reshaped. 7SoH cautioned me as it might affect stability, but I gave it a good yank in all directions and it's rock solid. Everything works though and it plays nicely now I've dropped the action and actually balanced the trem at the right point. Piezo's sounded amazing through 7DT's Axe 2 with all the delays yesterday.

Anyway, pics:
