This week's Top Tune comes via Isle of Skye, Scotland bred DJ/record producer Mylo (Myles MacInnes) from his debut 2004 album Destroy Rock & Roll. A mix of twisted house, electroclash and chilled vibes, the album reached #26 on the UK album chart and netted Mylo four Top 20 UK Club tracks and a top 10 U.S. Dance chart hit. The set has drawn comparisons to the work of Daft Punk, Groove Armada and Royksopp.

Growing up on Skye, one of the furthest flung corners of Europe, MacInnes couldn’t be too choosy about his sources of music. “Basically we had Atlantic 252,” he explains. “It was this kind-of soft rock station on long-wave. We all believed it to be transmitted from a boat floating out in the mid-Atlantic.” Continually on tour from club gigs to stints at Coachella and the Isle of Wedge festivals, Mylo is also in demand as a remixer, contributing remixes for artists that include Scissor Sisters, Amy Winehouse, The Killers & Kylie Minogue.
