Will Justin Timberlake address his relationship with Britney Spears in his new book? A report claims the pop star should be worried about what Timberlake will spill. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively bust the story.

According to NW, Timberlake is “releasing a tell-all biography — and sources say it’ll spell more stress for Britney.” One such “source” is quoted as saying, “Word is he’ll address their romance and share anecdotes about their highs and lows.” It must be noted that “word is” suggests this untraceable “source” doesn’t have firsthand knowledge, but is sharing a speculative rumor.

The tabloid and its alleged tipster go on to contend such a “tell-all” is “the last thing” Spears would want because she’s “still quite sore” about their breakup more than a decade ago, and “very much sees him as the first true love of her life.” Maintains the magazine, “According to pals, JT’s new book will no doubt ‘stir up a lot of emotions and probably stress Brit out in a big way.”

Actually, Spears has nothing to worry about at all. “The book does not address past relationships,” a spokesperson for Timberlake tells Gossip Cop exclusively. According to the press release announcing the project, Hindsight & All the Things I Can’t See in Front of Me will include “anecdotes, reflections, and observations on his life and work,” as well as “touching tributes to his wife, actress Jessica Biel and their 3-year-old son Silas.” But nothing was said about delving into his love life beyond that. And at no point did the announcement categorize the book as a “tell-all,” or even an autobiography.

It’s not surprising NW bungled a Spears-related story, as it has peddled misinformation about her in the past. Back in 2015, for example, the outlet falsely claimed Spears and Justin Bieber “locked lips at his MTV Video Music Awards afterparty.” The publication insisted the older and younger performers were “all over each other.” When Gossip Cop investigated, though, we discovered the story was a complete fabrication. Though Spears did attend the VMAs, she didn’t go to any after-parties, and actually left the event after presenting the first award of the night.

More recently, last December the tabloid peddled a story contending Spears and boyfriend Sam Asghari were engaged after he supposedly proposed on her birthday. It was further asserted they were “plowing headfirst into wedding planning,” with plans to tie the knot as soon as Christmas or New Year’s Eve. Gossip Cop confirmed that there was no engagement, and we were proven right when the holidays passed without a wedding.

Now the magazine is offering another wrong narrative tied to Timberlake. But contrary to the claims, his book shouldn’t bring “stress” for Spears as it has nothing to do with her.
