Celebrities are mocking Donald Trump for claiming he turned down the Time “Person Of The Year” honor. See reaction tweets from stars below.

On Friday evening, Trump tweeted, “Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named ‘Man (Person) of the Year,’ like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!” The publication later responded on its own Twitter account, stating, “The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.”

Many celebs were skeptical of Trump’s assertion even before the publication clarified. Alyssa Milano, for instance, tweeted, “Psssst….everyone sees through your spin.” Andy Cohen replied to the president’s tweet, “Oh Sweetie….” Billy Eichner prayed, “Dear God let me not get to 70 and be this petty and sad.” And Patton Oswalt amusingly responded to Trump’s message with “Ditto.”

Meanwhile, Don Cheadle bluntly asked, “Who gives a [expletive] …?” George Takei pointed out, “In recent memory, the recipients have included Nixon, the Ebola Virus and your pal Putin. Making the list doesn’t always mean because people admire and love you. Just saying.” Judd Apatow also wrote back to Trump, “We know you were afraid of an interview being conducted by an outlet that doesn’t work for Murdoch or Sinclair. You are an ignorant coward. That’s ok. Don’t feel bad about it. Maybe next year you will have the nerve to answer basic questions. Sad.”

Andy Murray joked, “Bbc just called to say I was PROBABLY going to be named sports personality of the year but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!” That inspired Julia Louis-Dreyfus to quip, “@nytimes just called to say I was PROBABLY going to be named comedienne of the year but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!”

Referring to the revelation earlier this year that Trump had a faux Time cover on display at one of his properties, Patricia Arquette now told him, “You can always print yourself another fake cover.” Director Paul Feig also noted, “Well, at least his fake Time cover admits that global warming exists.” And when someone suggested Rose McGowan get the 2017 cover, the actress declared, “Genius.”
