Caitlyn Jenner did not buy gifts for Khloe Kardashian’s baby daughter True in an effort to make amends, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. A rep for Jenner tells us it’s false.
Jenner and Kardashian haven’t spoken in more than two years, but according to Life & Style, the transgender reality star is trying to repair their relationship through Kardashian’s newborn. An alleged insider tells the magazine that Jenner recently “splurged” on gifts for the baby in the hopes she’ll be able to meet the little girl.
The outlet’s questionable source goes on to say that Jenner believes she deserves a meeting because her former stepdaughter used to “cry on her shoulders saying she wanted to have a baby for years.” Now that the reality star finally has a child, “Cait feels it’s only right she gets to meet it,” says the supposed tipster, who further contends that Jenner “would be devastated” and “betrayed” if Kardashian prevented her from seeing the baby.
The seemingly imaginary insider also maintains that Jenner offered to fly to Cleveland to meet the infant, but Kardashian refused. “Cait understands things aren’t on the best of terms with Khloe,” adds the “source,” who says that despite the issues between Jenner and Kardashian, the former Olympian “hopes Khloe won’t be as petty and stubborn like she has been and let her meet True.”
This story simply doesn’t add up. For one, it was widely reported earlier this month that Jenner snubbed Kardashian from her Mother’s Day post on Instagram, in which she gave a shout-out to all of the “amazing moms” in her life, but left out the reality star. If Jenner was desperately trying to meet baby True and make amends, it’s unlikely she’d ignore Kardashian on her first-ever Mother’s Day.
Meanwhile, Jenner confirmed in an interview with Broadly on Tuesday that she’s not on great terms with the Kardashains. “I got the Kardashians out there bashing on me,” she said. “All I do is sit here in the house and try to stay out of trouble.” It certainly doesn’t sound like she’s eager to fly to Cleveland to meet her former stepdaughter’s baby.
Additionally, the tabloid’s phony report is based on information from an anonymous and untraceable “source,” but Jenner’s own spokesperson tells Gossip Cop on the record that it’s made-up. The transgender star isn’t scheming to meet Kardashian’s newborn by getting her baby gifts. Life & Style simply has no insight into the situation.
