Britney Spears did not “open up” about Illuminati. Nor is she begging for God’s forgiveness. These are untrue claims in a fake news story. Gossip Cop can expose the falsehoods.

YourNewsWire is alleging Spears has “told close friends and associates that she prays to God every night asking him to forgive her for associating with the Illuminati.” The site claims the pop star is “terrified her two children will be ‘corrupted’ and lured into the ‘evil’ entertainment industry,” and quotes her as saying, “You can punish me, but please do not punish my sons, they have done nothing and deserve a clean start.” Another quote attributed to Spears states, “If you think the things coming out of Hollywood now are bad, buckle up, it’s going to get a lot worse. You have seen nothing yet. The things that I have seen, the darkness, it’s enough to drive someone insane.”

The webloid further contends that the singer has been “studying the Bible and reciting verses in her prayers for forgiveness.” Without giving specifics of how Spears was previously “dabbling in Illuminati symbolism and exhibiting MK Ultra mind control symptoms,” it’s asserted she said, “I am strong and have to take responsibility for my own actions and the people I have associated with in the past and the things that I have done and been a party to.”

In fact, the outlet even alleges Spears’ Las Vegas residency is “penance” for her past misdeeds. But with nothing to indicate that the purported quotes from the performer are legitimate, the publication points to an interview Spears gave back in June, in which she spoke about how she struggled during her 20s. To be clear, though, she said absolutely nothing about Illuminati, despite the claim that she was “explaining that she managed to ‘wake up’ and escape the Illuminati trap before it was too late.”

The only tiny detail that actually can be substantiated is that Spears is a follower of the Bible. But that’s not a recent development and has nothing to do with seeking redemption for supposed Illuminati ties. And all of these suspect claims, which no reliable outlet has backed up, come from the same website that was caught lying in August with story about Spears and pedophiles. Just like now, the deceptive webloid peddled completely unverifiable quotes for an outrageous premise that wasn’t confirmed by any reputable publication. It’s fictional writing and it should all be filed under “fake news.”
