It was until Beck released his wow-inspiring video today for “Wow,” that we realized how much of a perfect song it is for cowboys who want a little western-tinged funk and alt-pop genius in their lives. It’s also great for choreographed dancing kids in well-imagined routines and costumes; a sketchy dude who likes to to take a seat in a crosswalk; and those who appreciate an assortment of brightly coloured imagery that makes not being stoned in its presence a regrettable choice. Fortunately, all of those elements – along with Beck in country garb (minus the hat, sadly) – is here for your eyeballs and brain to make sense of.
He co-directed this and we are not surprised by that revelation in the slightest.
