Tipped as an “Exposure Hot One” by Radio X’s John Kennedy, ‘A Draught I Want’ puts you right in the centre of what KidBrother is all about. With furious passion and an arena size chorus that soars over an aggressive musical backdrop, this band keeps you guessing from start to finish.
With influences such as Letlive, Circa Survive and Alexisonfire, KidBrother‘s very own distinctive dual vocals mix the gravelly tones of frontman, Jamie Carrington, and the pitch-perfect highs of bass player, Ffin Colley, into a truly indefectible partnership.
Speaking on the new single, bass player, Ffin Colley says,
“‘A Draught I Want’ is a song about opportunity. It’s about when you have a door slammed so violently in your face, violent enough to crack the frame, it will often blow out the window behind you. All it takes to seize that opportunity is a slight repositioning, adjustment of your perspective and the decision to continue.
“I tried to present the lyrics in a way that honestly reflected how I feel when I struggle creatively, how there’s always an inner conflict and how it has (so far) always resolved the same.”
