Yhdysvaltalaisen deathcore-yhtye Carnifexin laulaja Scott Lewis on antanut Altpress.com-sivustolle haastattelun liittyen genren nykyiseen tilaan. Lewiksen mukaan genre ei ole enää kovin elinvoimainen, ja hän uskookin oman yhtyeensä olevan Suicide Silencen ja Whitechapelin ohella ainut jäljellä oleva suuri nimi.
