Shy Luv have just released their funky new track ‘Like a River’ featuring talented new London-based artist Bakar.
After announcing their arrival with their upbeat debut EP ‘Shock Horror’ at the end of last year, this new song from the Manchester band is taken from their forthcoming EP ‘Lungs’.
A playful jolt of feverish pop, ‘Like a River’ is the kind of danceable, ear-worming track you’ll have stuck in your head for days. Another positive step for a band whose debut record is due for release in 2018.
Shy Luv explain: “The chords and beat are super happy – we wanted to write this tune based around happiness and the sort of happiness you feel when you’re with someone you love and that feeling running through you. But we wanted it to be quite tongue in cheek, almost overly cute so that’s where the versus came from. We’d just heard the Bakar tune and thought it’d be wicked to get some of his mad energy on a track too.”
