Remy Ma has shared a diss track aimed toward Nicki Minaj. Called “Shether,” the track is a flip of the classic Nas beat “Ether.” Listen below. “You stole that line about bitches being your sons/How you take my ’09 jail tweet and run/Talkin’ ‘bout bringing knives to a fight with guns/When the only shot you ever took was in your buns,” Remy raps. The song also features a pitched down voice saying “fuck Nicki Minaj.” The single also comes with brutal cover art featuring a mutilated Barbie doll with pink hair. Nicki has since responded with two Instagram posts (below)—one detailing the sales figures for Remy Ma and Fat Joe’s recent single “Plato O Plomo” and another featuring some words from Beyoncé.
“Shether” appears to be a response to Nicki Minaj’s recent track with Gucci Mane, “Make Love,” in which she seems to allude to Remy Ma: “You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap/You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques.”
