Randy Newman has announced his first album since 2008’s Harps and Angels. It’s called Dark Matter, and it’s out August 4 via Nonesuch. The album will be release on vinyl on August 18. Recorded in Los Angeles, Dark Matter was produced by long-time Newman collaborators Mitchell Froom, Lenny Waronker, and David Boucher. Find the full tracklisting below. The album’s nine songs include the previously released “Putin,” which was inspired by a photograph Newman saw of the eponymous Russian leader with his shirt off.
