Tom Williams has always sought out different forms of communication.

It's what led him to music, after all. That ability to communicate emotions, to create an open-ended conversation between songwriter and listener.

New release 'Early Morning Rain' is a hushed, plaintive return, just right for these darkening days of November.

Director Abbie Brandon steers the full video, and it's shot in an abandoned warehouse somewhere in darkest Essex.

Chad Taylor is a hip-hop dancer, whose work is frequently prompted by his own experiences with mental health issues.

Expressing Tom Williams' music in a new way, this startling, daring clip is an arresting watch. Tom explains...

This video for 'Early Morning Rain' is one of my favourite videos we’ve ever made. When the director Abbie Brandon found Chad Taylor and his work we knew he’d be perfect. Chad’s work is not only outstanding but his story and struggle with mental health makes his interpretation of the song incredibly moving for me.

When I wrote this song I was thinking about people close to me and their struggles with depression and mental well-being, but to see somebody as talented as Chad interpret this song in a completely new way is really quite amazing.

Tune in now.

Tom Williams' new album 'What Did You Want To Be?' will be released on March 29th.
