Yesterday, Andrew W.K. took over the Talkhouse's Instagram. He took requests from fans for which love songs he should cover, in honor of Valentine's Day. He covered Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You," Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)," Cheap Trick's "World's Greatest Lover," Alice Cooper's "Only Women Bleed," and the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody." Watch his renditions, as well as an introductory video, below.
In a post for the Talkhouse, Andrew W.K. wrote:
I love Valentine's Day because I love hearts, I love flowers, I love chocolates, I love candies, I love fudges, I love teddy bears, and I love loving things. We’re going to make this Valentine's Day partier than ever, because I will offer you my party spirit as my own personal Valentinian gift to you. I will sing some love songs of your choice! And I will do my best to sing them as lovingly, preciously, and as partyingly as properly possible.
