The songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kishi Bashi is a classically trained violinist, and over the years has developed a way of looping his violin to create an almost orchestral sound. So his bright, cinematic pop often features a lush string sound, as in the case of this song, called “I Can’t Let Go, Juno.” It’s from Kishi Bashi’s most recent album, called Sonderlust, and he’s just released a video for the song that’s like a 4-minute film noir, which is part of our weekly music roundup.
