From seasoned vets to bright young things, people got involved from across the globe. Of the hundreds of shows that were uploaded using #BestOf2018, here’s a selection of some of our favorites.

Take note: this is a living, breathing list. Upload your #BestOf2018 show before the end of the year, and we’ll continue to update it.

ToffoloMuzik – Sand Tunes – Amalgama # 40 – the best of summer 2018

Live and direct from Cesena, Italy, ToffoloMuzik brought his distinctive sound – a little dub, a little hip hop, a little rare grooves, a little funk – and recorded a live set of the best of 2018 in what he calls ‘Sand Tunes’. Well worth your time.

Subterranean Homesick Radio Show @ Poplie – 19/06/2018 – 30 best albums of 2018 (first half)

The nature of best-of lists coming in at the end of the year is that stuff that came out in January is often forgotten, and anything released later in December – well, forget it. Greek selector Thanasis Karanikas’ (@nafalkenator) list of the best albums of the first half of 2018 is a welcome antidote. Young Fathers, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Leon Bridges all make the cut.

SCHMUTZ 12.6.18 | best of 2018 Hip Hop, by KPISSFM

Less a definitive ‘best of’ these Brooklyn selectors called out the tracks and artists that defined 2018. Think Story of Addidon, Kendrick’s verse on Wow Freestyle, Some Rap Songs, Gunna feat. everyone.

initialsLP / Best of 2018

initialsLP – a creative direction and music PR outfit out of Berlin, Germany – put together a uniquely personal best-of featuring many of the artists they worked with this year. Luckily for the rest of us, the show is spectacular. Full of contemporary artists working at the point where jazz meets hip hop and beats (Otis Sandsjö, Aphrotek), this show shouldn’t be missed.

TRAP OR DIE 2018 – djstonejunior

Now we’re talking. A best-of show that doubles as a relentless two-hour party mix. Maybe 50? 60 tracks, Stone JR doesn’t take his foot off the gas for even a second as he runs through every trap smash that dropped this year.

Bopperson’s Best of 2018

From one extreme to the other, for when you’re recovering from the party, Bopperson’s Best of 2018 is the perfect medicine. A flawless selection of soul, jazz and funk tracks from this year that may have passed you by. Wow, a lot of good music dropped this year, huh?

Best of Summer 2018 (Reggaeton Edit)

2018 was another huge year for latin sounds like reggaeton and moombahton, and Germany’s DJ Vertuga beautifully summarises the continued global spread of this sound.

And many more…
