Unsatisfied with the sound levels at a concert? A new startup called Peex says it’ll offer fans the chance to customise the audio in real-time.
The company’s technology takes an audio feed from the soundboard at a concert, then separates it into five ‘stems’ (e.g. the different instruments) which are then transmitted to audience members, synchronised with the PA system, via a wearable device and Peex’s app.
They can then tweak the levels to their heart’s content, listening via a pair of earphones connected to the wearable gadget.
