Well, now. Wasn’t this an amazingly cool surprise! I have to say I don’t know what I find more interesting about the new self-titled album from The Devils Music. Either it’s the fact that this one incredible album and a kickass pleasure to listen to from beginning to end or the fact that this album seeing the light of day almost never happened.

The Devils Music is a collection songs originally written for the second Devilment album. Daniel J. Finch had written around 27 songs for that album, but he left the band in late 2014. The songs remained unrecorded and lost until 2015 when Finch rediscovered the songs and went about finishing the album. What’s so great about this record is the fact that it uses 10 different lead vocalists on each track, and it holds together so flawlessly, you’d swear it was one cohesive unit of musicians. Talk about an album I’d love to see performed live in it’s entirety with all the singers!

The Devils Music has so many aspects of what makes great metal, I can assure you that if you’re a headbanger, you will love this album.

The Devils Music is out September 2 on Coffee Jingle Records. Pre-order it here!
