For those who couldn’t witness the Weird World of IHC at Desert Daze, imagine this: a golden pyramid, a shining, fringed pagoda and an alabaster dream chamber nestled on a fenced off lawn inside Noble Hall; all hand-built and displayed by yours truly as the ultimate chill destination. Co-hosted by Adult Swim, IHEARTCOMIX, and Super Tight, the space was created for guests to gaze upon a curated assortment of video projects by artists like Washed Out, Brainfeeder, Mike Diva and JJ Stratford.
We also screened (for the first time EVER) the highly anticipated premiere of starRo’s “Fantasy” ft. BOSCO. Stacked CRT televisions flanked both sides of the projection screen as people lounged on ornate rugs and sank into bean bags, their fixated stares illuminated by soft hues of red and purple.
Faces melted, artists were celebrated and cosmic weirdness was felt in the room. If you couldn’t imagine this past weekend, then you won’t believe what we have in store for you next!
