The weekend is gone and we have yet another NEXT FEST in the bag! If you’ve been keeping up you know that NEXT FEST is Sundance‘s mini-festival in LA that pairs the best films from Sundance Film Festival with music, comedy, music video premieres and conversations with renowned creatives.
2017 was definitely one for the books. We had an incredible time diving deep into the music, movies, and overall mischief that NEXT FEST is known for. IHEARTCOMIX curated the music portion of the fest, pairing bold films with bold performances by LIZZO, Electric Guest, and Sleigh Bells that kept the good vibes high throughout the weekend.
Some of our favorite moments included film legends Quentin Tarantino, Tim Roth, and Michael Madsen introducing the opening night’s screening of Reservoir Dogs, the hilarious absurdity that was Lemon, and Ava Duvernay‘s insightful conversation with director of Gook Justin Chon. We laughed, we cried, we drank a few too many free old fashioneds, and we’re already counting down the days until next year!
