Seventh Station Announces the First Official Video

Published: September 05, 2016

Seventh Station is a an international progressive metal band based in Slovenia. Lead by guitarist Dmitri Alperovich and includes names such as my dear friend, great musician Eren Başbuğ (known for his work with progressive metal pioneers Dream Theater, Jordan Rudess etc) and Israeli Vocalist Davidavi (Vidi) Dolev (Omb, Reign of the Architect etc ) the band debut album ‘Between Life and Dreams’ deals with the concept of being caught between two stools, having different secret signs showing different ways and choices.

Seventh Station is now thrilled to announce the release of their first videoclip for their second single The Edge of the Lake from the debut album Between Life and Dreams.

Between Life and Dreams is not a typical progressive metal album, in its musical structure the listener can find elements of classical music and find intensive, delicate motive work in each song. In its lyrical concept the album deals with the idea being caught between two stools, having different secret signs showing different ways and choices. The album was produced by Alperovich, engineered and mixed by Yonatan Kossov (Orphaned Land, Betzefer, Hummercult etc) and recorded in Israel and United States.

The videoclip is an artistic product of an exciting collaboration between Seventh Station’s guitarist Dmitri Alperovich and director Gregor Smukovic, who also contributed to the album’s artwork. The videoclip was shot in several places in Slovenia, including the well known lake of Bohinj. The song’s visual representation is cleverly connected with it’s lyrics and music itself. Unlike any other bands, in this video the band tried to include band members as secondary actors to give the art and music first place.
