Power to the Playlist! Today we’re excited to launch Napster’s new Interactive Playlist Maker available today for iOS and Android. We built a new suggestion wizard – a Tinder-like song recommender – with some tools from our friends at GIPHY to simplify and personalize the process of building and sharing playlists with your Listener Network.
When building a new playlist in the mobile app, the suggestion wizard will pop up to match you with tracks based on what’s already in your playlist and your listening history. The Wizard will match tracks recommended just for you, so swipe right to accept and left to reject.
The update also lets you add animated GIPHY GIFs as cover art for your playlists. When you create a new playlist, Napster will automatically suggest a GIF based on the playlist title. You can use the suggested GIF or select from all the GIFs in GIPHY’s extensive library – the options are endless! The result is a unique way to add more personality to your playlists before sharing them with your Listener Network followers.
