Following the release of their ‘Memories…Do Not Open’ album, the Chainsmokers have embarked on the largest headlining tour of their careers. On April 13 the DJ duo, comprised of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, kicked off the first stop of their 40-city tour in Miami at the American Airlines Arena.

So far, the EDM couplet has made their way through Miami, Tampa, North Charleston and Bridgeport, and will be continuing on with stops in Albany, Detroit, San Francisco, Toronto, Boston and more major cities through mid-June.

No longer performing solely as DJs, they’ve incorporated live elements into their show. Blending their short DJ set with performances featuring a full band, Taggart exercises his vocal chops as he does in the majority of ‘Memories… Do Not Open.’ Listen to their opening song for the first few stops of the tour:

Over the last couple years, the Chainsmokers have been rising through the ranks as the unexpected saviors of the electronic-pop crossover craze that’s been dominating the airwaves. From their earlier hits like “#SELFIE,” “Kanye” and “Roses,” to their current radio anthems “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Closer” and “Paris,” Pall and Taggart have mastered a formulaic blend of electronic and pop that’s guaranteed them commercial success for every release.

Now with a full-length album under their belt—not to mention one that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200—Taggart tells the crowd in Miami, “I’m out here trying to show everyone we’re serious artists.”

After spending 12 weeks at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 with “Closer” last year, the nation watched as the NY-bred duo continued to climb higher and higher. For the first time this week, Pall and Taggart reached the No. 1 slot of the Billboard Artist 100, beating out former top artists Ed Sheeran, Drake, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar.
