We’re back after another week to check in on America’s favorite soft-rocker, John Mayer.

He’s played 4 shows since we last caught up with the tour—Chicago, Columbus, Kansas City and St. Paul.

There are a few tried and true favorites he’s been including in his sets, such as “Your Body is a Wonderland,” “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” and “Why Georgia.” Another consistent act throughout his tour is his solo performance of “You’re Gonna Live Forever In Me” on the piano as a show closer. During his second encore at his show in Columbus, Ohio, he was joined by a special guest to join him in the closing song.

For the second time, comedian Dave Chappelle stopped in to make a surprise appearance during Mayer’s show. This time, he took the chance to make a tribute out to his old pal and fellow comedian Charlie Murphy, who passed away just a few days ago.

“Rest in peace Charlie Murphy. We love you. We loved your comedy, we loved your stories and we love your spirit,” Chappelle said. See some fan footage from the show below:

Mayer’s long-anticipated album, The Search For Everything, was finally released in its entirety on Friday. The LP features 12 songs, including his previously released tracks from Wave One EP—“Moving On and Getting Over,” “Changing,” “Love on the Weekend” and “You’re Gonna Live Forever in Me”—as well as his Wave Two EP—“Still Feel Like Your Man,” “Emoji of a Wave,” “Helpless” and “Roll It on Home.” You can stream the album below:

Mayer will be touring solo through mid-May, but shows no signs of slowing down. Shortly after, he will be linking back up with the Dead and Company crew to continue touring through the US from the end of May to the beginning of June.
