Norway’s Shining Signs With Spinefarm

Shining

A new album is on the way from Norwegian “blackjazz” outfit Shining.

The band has inked a worldwide deal with Spinefarm Records.

The as-yet untitled new album will be released through the label later in the year.

The disc was recorded already, and Sean Bevan mixed it.

Says Shining’s Jørgen Munkeby:

“Our new album is one of our most varied, encompassing the whole gamut of what we do, from the sinister ferocity and experimentation of Blackjazz to the more focussed songwriting of One One One. It really is the culmination of all the best elements in the Blackjazz world. Shining are now at the high point of our career, with several high-profile tours completed over the past couple of years, so we feel it’s very fitting for us to be moving ahead with Spinefarm Records at this particular time; we are greatly looking forward to working with them to take Blackjazz to the masses around the world, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear our new album!”
