Hard Knock Tv’s Nick Huff Barili sits down with Dave East for in-depth interview at Truth Studios. In part 3, Dave shares what conversations were like early on with Nas when they first met and later what advice Nas, who signed him in 2014, has giving him. Dave East also talks about there needing to be sub genres in Rap because what he and Lil Uzi Vert do are not the same. Dave said he is happy for the new generation of rappers doing their thing but lyricism and story telling is more his thing. As the interview continues, Dave shares why he titled his EP Paranoia and talks about how money and fame impacts those around you and the way people treat you. Leaving one to wonder what people’s true motives are. Dave also gives us some insight as to how that’s affected his interactions with women. Dave is currently working on his debut album which is going to feature a continuation of his classics song Keisha and In Some Shit. In terms of who he is working on or wants to work with on debut album he mentioned Drake, Nas of course, as well as No. ID, Salaam Remi, Alchemist, Just Blaze and Metro Booming.
