Published: November 07, 2016

amiina - Fantômas

Originally a string quartet, amiina are an Icelandic group perhaps best known for their work with Sigur Ros, with whom they have recorded and toured extensively. This month they announced their third album, Fantômas, out November 25th, including a signed special edition with a beautiful 4-layer print and a playable 5" music postcard. They’re also giving fans an extra incentive to preorder by offering an early bird discount of 10% off all orders placed before the release date. The Topspin purchase flow has been easily and seamlessly embedded in to their homepage using Squarespace’s Button Blocks and orders will ship from our Topspin Fulfillment UK warehouse.

Gillian Welch - Boots No. 1: The Official Revival Bootleg

Since releasing her first album in 1996, singer-songwriter Gillian Welch has built a devoted following and received much critical acclaim, picking up Grammy nominations for three of her albums along the way (she also co-produced and performed two tracks on the platinum-selling, Grammy-winning soundtrack for O Brother, Where Art Though?). This month she announced the first in a series of archival releases, Boots No. 1: The Official Revival Bootleg, comprising 21 outtakes, alternate versions and demos from her debut album Revival. She has also put together some exclusive direct-to-fan bundles for the release, including a signed print, album t-shirt, koozie and a 2017 calendar.

Harry Shearer - Store

Legendary actor and comedian Harry Shearer is perhaps best known for his long-running work as the voice of Mr. Burns, Waylon Smithers, Principal Skinner and many more on The Simpsons and for his role as Derek Smalls in Spinal Tap. This month he launched a new store using our Spinshop template, giving fans the opportunity to buy DVDs, CDs, books and other merchandise from across his career.

Menace Beach - Lemon Memory

Having posted our Q&A with London-based independent label Memphis Industries last week, we include two of their artists in this month’s round-up. First, Leeds-based duo Menace Beach return with the announcement of new album Lemon Memory. The album is available on yellow vinyl and, sticking with the theme, also includes a scratch and sniff cover. On the day the album was announced, the band also threw in 2 guestlist spots for their show that evening for anyone who preordered from them directly.

Dutch Uncles - UK Tour Presale

Dutch Uncles are a Manchester-based five piece influenced by Talking Heads, King Crimson and Kate Bush and who have previously toured with Paramore and Garbage. The band are currently putting the finishing touches to a new album, due out next year, making it their fifth in only eight years. In the meantime, they’ve announced a 12-date UK tour in March 2017, for which they are using Topspin’s ticketing tool to sell exclusive presale tickets direct-to-fans.
