Missed out on Temples tickets and gutted that you’re going to miss Slabdragger and Ohhms? Fear not, as both bands are heading out on a full UK tour this August.
Slabdragger’s ‘Regress’ has got to be one of the finest sludge albums this country has produced since ‘Our Problem’, and in the years that have followed it’s release, the trio have been steadily refining the formula. Fortunately for us, the new stuff they’ve been playing live recently is sounding even better, so we can only guess at how heavy these shows are going to be.
Ohhms’ intense, psychedelic sound should be the perfect accompaniment too, if their debut ‘Bloom’ is anything to go by. The album is rendered in stunning clarity and power thanks to Ian Sadler at Emeline Studios and Brad Boatright at Audiosiege mastering, but you just know it’s going to sound better blaring out of a huge wall of amps at absurd volume levels…
