Heavy metal heroes Amulet have announced that their long-awaited debut album ‘The First’ will finally be released this September, and you can hear a brand new track from it entitled ‘Mark Of Evil’ right here…
The quintets sound is drenched in that glorious NWOBHM vibe, bursting straight out of the gates like an even rowdier Angel Witch or a less stoned Witchfinder General. Their 2011 debut EP, Cut The Crap, contained four deliciously anthemic bangers that will have any metal fan worth their salt grinning from ear to ear as they raise their horns in approval. If you can listen to The Hangman and then somehow resist the urge to sing it in the shower every day for the next month, youre either tone deaf, totally mute, or erm, a bit of a soap dodger. This is no-nonsense, balls-to-the-walls heavy metal songcraft at its finest!
Fans have been anxiously waiting for a follow-up ever since, and now the wait is finally over! ‘The First’ will be released on LP (gatefold cover, fold-out inlay, heavy vinyl), CD and as digital download. If ‘Mark Of Evil’ is anything to go by, this one is going to be yet another cast iron banger. Check it out below…
