Nearly 10 years after David Cronenberg’s gangster thriller Eastern Promises hit theaters in 2007, a sequel is set to begin filming this spring. Though Cronenberg’s involvement hasn’t yet been confirmed, Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight told IndieWire back in 2014 that he had already written the script and was trying to get it made.

It looks as if Knight’s wish has finally come true. As Digital Spy notes, casting site My Entertainment World has a listing for the film tentatively titled Body Cross and scheduled to begin shooting in London this March.

The film’s synopsis reveals that “the sequel picks up where the 2007 film left off — with the incompetent underboss Kirill thinking that he and his henchman driver Nikolai really have inherited the throne from his crime-lord father, without knowing that Nikolai is actually a clandestine agent working undercover in Russia’s federal security service.”
