Aloud Release New Single “Agua Mala” To Benefit Flint Water Fund

Published: February 09, 2017

As the Flint Michigan water crisis stretches into its THIRD YEAR, attention and outrage wane, directed elsewhere, as outrage demands exceed supply. Some dedicated folks remain focused, however, and retrain our collective eye on the prize (the prize here being the most fundamental of basic human needs – potable water). Count among these the United Way, whose Genesee County operation continues to try to raise money in order to help the neglected people of Flint, and socially conscious people like those in one of our current favorite rock and roll bands, Aloud. The band today released a single, “Agua Mala,” to help raise money for the United Way fund, and they will perform tonight at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory at a Flint benefit, snow be damned, along with Cold Blood Club (who also feature on the new single).

A great cause and worthy effort, we’re sure you’ll agree. Luckily for us, Aloud is also a great band who make great songs, and this one is no exception. Seething, dark, and dynamic, “Agua Mala” reflects the frustration of this ongoing crisis in the tone of the music alone.

If you’re able, please spread the word, get the track, go to the show.
