Post Malone stops show to help injured fan

In a lot of ways, 2017 seemed filled with too many controversies about crowd etiquette to keep track of. From Jose Homme’s general bad behaviour to Lido Pimienta’s brave command to create space for marginalized fans, more often than not, the result ended in a learning lesson of how everyone, fans and artists, could stand to do better.
At a recent show in Australia, Post Malone made a tiny step in the right direction in terms of changing the narrative around how artists should responsibly respond to situations with fans. When a young audience member collapsed during the middle of FOMO, an outdoor festival in the city of Adelaide, he halted the show and forced the mosh pit to stop moving before starting again. He even directed the crowd to take “three steps back.”
