You know when you have a close friend that goes on a backpacking trip, and you can’t resist following them on their journey but you you’re also ITCHING to hear the story going on behind the scenes. That’s kinda been the feeling around NXNE, Toronto’s beloved local festival showcase which will hit the streets June 8th- June 17th. After a trip to the Portlands for the last little bit, this year the festival returns to its home at Yonge and Dundas square and a healthy dose of free-programming.
While we’re still waiting on the full official line-up, for now we can can chew on the recently released list of curators for the fest’s Club Land shows. Featuring the spectrum of Canadian icons from rap mainstay Cadence Weapon to Jasmyn Burke of the Polaris-nominated band Weaves and Katie Monks of Dilly Dally, the list of curators are as diverse as the incredible music coming out of Toronto.
