Swae Lee escapes to paradise in the video for “Guatemala” featuring Slim Jxmmi. Shot amongst waterfalls, lush landscapes, and historic architecture, the vibrant clip showcases the gorgeous Central American country as well as the Rae Sremmurd brothers’ effortless style.
Decked out in designer labels, the fellas charm the ladies as they take over a local town. They dance in the streets with children, turn up at the club, and pop champagne alongside their bikini-clad co-stars. Mike WiLL Made-It and Mally Mall, who co-produced the song, also make cameos.
The song is off Swae Lee’s Swaecation portion of Rae Sremmurd’s triple album SR3MM, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. It has also spawned a remix from Ameriie.
The video was shot a month before the country was hit by a devastating volcanic eruption. “Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Guatemala,” reads an opening message.
