New Music: Eminem feat. Alicia Keys – ‘Like Home’

Published: December 16, 2017

Eminem brings it “Home” on a powerful and politically-charged collaboration with Alicia Keys off his star-studded new album Revival.

Marshall Mathers opens the Just Blaze-produced track with a message for fans: “You don’t have to agree, but if you feel like me…”

On the empowering track, a love letter to America, Em calls for unity, with references to Charlottesville, anti-racism activist Heather Heyer, and the Las Vegas mass shooting.

Em, who has been outspoken of Donald Trump, once again takes aim at the President. “Someone get this Aryan a sheet / Time to bury him, so tell him to prepare to get impeached,” he raps, later adding, “Let’s start from zero, this is our renewal / Spray tan, get rid of, get a brand new better America.”

Alicia comes through with the rousing hook. “Here’s to the land that made me / And made me who I am, who I am,” she sings. “For the cracks in the road that drove me / There’s no place like home.”

In addition to Alicia, Revival features appearances from Beyoncé (“Walk On Water”), Ed Sheeran (“River”), X Ambassadors (“Bad Husband”), Skylar Grey (“Tragic Endings”), Kehlani (“Nowhere Fast”), Pink (“Need Me”), and PHresher (“Chloraseptic”).
