Iggy Azalea Opens New Classic Tour in Boston

Published: April 24, 2014

Hotel Iggy is now open for business. Following her opening slots on tours with Beyonc, Nas, and Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea launched her first headlining tour in Boston on Wednesday. The Aussie rap sensation transformed the House of Blues into her own hotel, performing her hits and new material off her just-released debut The New Classic.

Dressed in a Scarface-inspired getup, she kicked off her hour-long set with “Beat Down” and performed crowd favorites including “Fancy,” “Work,” and her mixtape cut “Pussy.”

Backed by a troupe of female dancers and DJ Wizz Kidd, Iggy also treated the crowd to the first performances of “Black Widow,” “Don’t Need Y’all,” and “Rolex” off her new album.

The 14-date North American trek travels to major cities including Detroit, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, wrapping May 22 in Seattle.

Iggy also guests on Ariana Grande’s new single “Problem,” which hits iTunes this weekend.
