Chris Brown and Karrueche Keep Their Distance at BET Awards

Published: June 26, 2017

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran did not cross paths at the BET Awards on Sunday (June 25).

The network reportedly made special plans to help the exes avoid one another in the wake of a five-year restraining order that Tran recently won against Brown.

According to TMZ, one of those accommodations included having Tran in a holding room during Brown’s performance of “Privacy” and “Party” with Gucci Mane. Production sources say that Tran did not watch the performance.

Brown — who must remain 100 yards away from Tran — reportedly remained backstage throughout the show, avoiding the crowd altogether. Meanwhile, Tran was on hand as a presenter, promoting her new television series, “Claws.”

Tran reportedly agreed to present at the show about two months ago. At around the same time, she was in the middle of her restraining order battle with Brown. Earlier this month, a judge sided with the actress-model.

Brown avoided Tran, but was unable to side-step a confrontation with Karrueche’s rumored beau, Migos’ Quavo. The two artists’ camps clashed after the show.
