August Alsina Reignites Beef with Trey Songz: ‘I’ll Gladly Beat His Goofy Ass’

Published: March 24, 2017

August Alsina and Trey Songz’ feud has been reignited.

Earlier today, Tremaine appeared on “The Breakfast Club,” where he discussed several hot topics including his rocky relationships with Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Alsina.

At one point, Trey was asked whether he would physically fight his rivals. “August was talking crazy a couple years ago and I ain’t want to fight. I don’t want to fight,” responded Trey. “I want to get some money…There’s other people who got problems with me that I ain’t even address. I don’t want to fight nobody. That don’t prove nothing.”

Alsina saw Trey’s comments and clapped back on Instagram, revealing that he once threatened to beat him up. “When ni**as mention yo name in a interview talking bout catching fades but you already offered several fades years ago and will STILL gladly beat his goofy ass & then be cool later 🙂😒 @treysongz @breakfastclubam #NeverTalkingCrazyAlwaysTalkingTRUTH.”

He also delivered a warning to his fellow R&B star. “Stretch before you reach next time nigxa! And don’t mention my name. (Back to the Real World, where real problems exist.)”

The singers’ beef dates back to three years ago. It was in a 2014 interview with Rap-Up where Alsina first revealed their fallout following their collaboration on the remix to Alsina’s “I Luv This Sh*t.”

“I don’t really fuck with Trey right now. We don’t get along right now,” he said at the time. “We ain’t on the same page. He did some other shit and we just don’t rock.”

He explained what led to their feud. “We were supposed to have a show together and it just went left ’cause I can’t deal with ni**as’ egos and attitudes ’cause I’m just a real ni**a comin’ through and I’m rockin’.”

Trey admitted to being in the wrong during a subsequent interview with “The Breakfast Club.” “I rock with dude. I believe in him. I think he’s very talented,” he said. “He’s dealing with a lot in his life outside of music. … I’m off that. I was on that. I was hype. I think my temper might have been worse than his.”

They later squashed the beef onstage at the 2014 BET Awards, where they performed together, but it seems their issues have not been fully resolved.
